A Patient’s Story
Dr. King made me aware of issues with my bite that were causing excessive wear on certain teeth. I could not even properly close my mouth completely due to the misalignment of my teeth. I was uncomfortable smiling in public and experienced difficulty chewing my food. I needed some extensive dental work to repair the damage to my teeth. Instead of proceeding with need restorations, Dr. King was able to determine the extent of my bite issues, and then referred me to an orthodontist who was able to correct my bite. Following the correction of my bite, Dr. King then proceeded with the needed restorations. The end result was a corrected bite and beautiful restorations that have improved the function and appearance of my teeth. My orthodontist said that the restorations done by Dr. King were outstanding. Dr. King’s priority has not been to just work on my teeth, but to correct the underlying issues that were causing my problems. I couldn’t be happier with the end result I got from working with her. She and her entire staff are first class. I highly recommend her, from cleaning and basic dental work, to addressing bite issues and complex dental restorations.-Tony Stinson
In addition to providing family and cosmetic dental care services, Dr. Deborah King is one of the most comprehensive dentists in Buckhead for restorative dentistry.
Dr. King remains dedicated to continuing education and has focused her post-graduate training on treating adult patients with complex problems like missing teeth, TMJ disorder and periodontal disease. An alumni of the Dawson Academy and member of the Atlanta based Hinman Dental Society, Dr. King has advanced training in using a wide range of restorative and cosmetic procedures to help patients restore a comfortable smile and a good quality of life.
Dr. King practices the concepts of complete dentistry when treating patients, A Dawson approach which takes into account the entire occlusal system when identifying dental problems, not just the appearance of the teeth and gums. This comprehensive approach is based on the knowledge that the function of the bite plays a big role in the dental health of a patient. In other words, if your bite is imbalanced for any reason, any dentistry you may receive will eventually break down and possibly cause additional problems.
Dr. King will evaluate your occlusion, or bite, and look for the signs of a bite disorder such as worn or damaged teeth. Addressing underlying dental concerns will ensure that the results of your dentistry are comfortable, lasting and will support your overall dental health.
